Prior to launching a. a., Antonio Azzuolo served as design director for Ralph Lauren Purple and Black Label, where he dedicated his time to concept and design. Earlier, Azzuolo worked for over ten years at high-end New York and Parisian design institutions such as Hermès and Kenzo.
A native of Montreal, Azzuolo graduated from Ryerson University in Toronto, where he received his B.A.A. in Apparel Design with a specialization in Men’s Tailoring. After graduation, Azzuolo moved to Milan, from where he participated in and won first place in the menswear category at the “Festival des Jeunes Stylistes de Hyères”. This award presented him with an opportunity to relocate to Paris where he launched his professional career.

ah, hilarious
Sacha Baron Cohen has crashed Milan Fashion Week. Parading around as Bruno the gay Austrian fashion-TV presenter, he managed to get backstage with his camera crew at Iceberg, Mariella Burani, and Roberto Musso, according to WWD.

Capsule to Vegas
Slated to run Feb. 17 and 18 in a convention space in the Luxor hotel, the new Capsule show will be its third location, following its first Paris show this past summer and the original New York show that debuted in 2007. Capsule targets upscale, indie designers, premium brands and their boutique retail buyers. The show's organizers, the BPMW showroom in New York, are aiming for 40 to 50 vendors for the kickoff Las Vegas show.
"It will be a very similar setup to New York, with a brand assortment from all over the world," said Edina Sultanik Silver, a partner at BPMW. "There's a certain caliber of retailer and designer that we consider to be part of our community that we felt there is an opportunity to serve there."
