the rise of the beardos

That beardo next to you on the 4 train? Could be a laid-off hedge funder. According totoday's Journal, a growing number of unemployed Wall Street guys are embracing the Freeman's look. Not that they're doing so with a great deal of enthusiasm. "I'm not ever going to look like a lumberjack," says one, who keeps his closely cropped with a trimmer. Another guy, meanwhile, says he regrows his every two weeks, after shaving for job interviews. (In other news: Apparently there are still job interviews.) What this says about the state of the economy seems clear; what this says about the state of the beard is less so.

h(y)r collective Issue 8

I'll admit, I'm slightly addicted to ryan's daily, and I always look forward to the next Issue of h(y)r. This time around get a preview of Ransom's Spring collection, read an interview with the owners of Dublin boutique Indigo & Cloth, and look through a collection of some of the best winter boots around...all shown with great photography as h(y)r always does.
