J Crew Spring 09

A new friend and great blogger, posted a bit about J Crew's Spring Collection. J Crew has been doing it right lately. Last week I had the chance to finally visit the J Crew Liquor Store in Tribeca. I was impressed.

I dig this Vintage Woolrich Plaid Toggle Stadium Coat. It'll keep you warm but not puffy. The toggle closures are a great detail. Bid on It

Creatures of the Wind Spring 09

Finally some menswear from Chicago that's worth looking at. I love seeing this line on other blogs because this label is more special to me than some others since I've worked with the company personally. Shane and Chris (the designers) have a lot in store for them and I'm excited to see them along their way. Anyway, in the grand scheme of things, Creatures of the Wind brings a unique look to menswear (a task that is getting harder and harder to do). As you can tell from these photos, they have a womenswear line as well.

Julian Red Fall 08

Although the fashion world is already thinking about Fall 09, consumers are pretty into Fall 08 merchandise still. This collection is one to add to your winter shopping list.

One of my favorite labels, Julian Red hails from Sweden (surprise, surprise). What began as a denim line has transformed into a complete collection. Not only do the clothes fit well and have a great look, a lot of the pieces are made from organic materials...which should always been seen as a positive thing (unless you're some global-warming-loving freak). Anyway, I had the chance to peek at the Spring 09 collection a while back and pretty much fell in love with an organic cotton, long hoodie. I still think about it today.

Pieces from the Fall08 collection can be found online at the Julian Red Store. Oak and Blackbird sell Julian Red too.
