From where else but Stockholm, Whyszeck originally started as a band & later reanimated into a fashion label. The Fall '08 collection (top three photos) is "a sort of updated 60´s British working class with button-down shirts, heavy knit sweaters and chinos. Updated parkas and leather jackets, with rigid raw denim jeans, folded legs and heavy steel toe cap boots."

Mjolk spring 09

One booth that I was looking forward to visiting at Capsule was that of Mjolk. The line is truly unique, due to the quality of the product, the creative design, and the fact that the designer is pretty damn amazing himself. Lars, a Denmark native who lived in London for 14 years and just recently to NYC, was incredibly sweet and a very stylish man himself.

Here are the Fader's photos of one look from the Spring collection and of Lars himself. (I didn't take any pictures of Lars...just the clothes).

Capsule NYC

This past week was New York's menswear market and I spent it exploring multiple tradeshows, showrooms, and of course some parties as well. The show that I explored most was Capsule. This show was particularly attractive to me, seeing as if almost every vendor there was someone I've featured on this blog before.

All in all, I saw some great collections, met some amazing people, and ignited a spark of excitement for the coming year.

Here are a few photos I took from the Opening Ceremony section of Capsule, on the third floor, overlooking the first floor. Take a look at the future of menswear.

the lack of posts this week is due to the fact that I'm running around NYC not only killing my feet but more importantly because I'm working on some new developments. Next week check often for updates. As for today, read fashion indie.
